Lower back pain in GranadaAssessment and treatment
When lower back pain starts to limit how you move, work, train or rest, the important thing is to understand what is maintaining it and assess which approach may make sense in your case.
Is your back affecting your daily life?
Lower back pain is not just uncomfortable: it can change how you move, work and even rest. That is why we start by understanding what is truly limiting your life.
Not all lower back pain has the same origin
Two people may point to exactly the same area and yet need a different assessment. That is why we do not apply the same protocol to everyone.
What we assess
We want to understand how it started, how it has evolved and which situations make it worse or better.
What we are looking for
The assessment helps us decide which approach may be appropriate and which techniques make sense at that point, without requiring you to choose beforehand between acupuncture, osteopathy or another tool.
Lower back pain or sciatica?
These two problems are often confused. They are not exactly the same, and distinguishing between them helps guide the assessment more accurately.
Pain localised in the lower back
Espacio
Symptoms that travel towards the buttock or leg
When pain, tingling or other symptoms travel towards the buttock or leg, that radiation should be assessed specifically.
Primero valoramos tu caso; después decidimos cómo abordarlo
You do not need to know which technique you need before coming.
Assessment
We review your history, progression, movement, background and what currently limits your daily life.
Treatment
We select the tools that may make sense based on what we observe during the assessment.
Progress
We review your response and adapt the pace and approach according to your actual progress.
Different tools for different situations
Acupuncture is one of Salud InOut’s main tools, but depending on the assessment it may also make sense to use osteopathy, electroacupuncture, cupping, Tuina or other techniques. They are not all applied automatically.

Common questions about lower back pain
Clear information before booking an appointment.
When should I seek help for lower back pain?
If the pain persists, keeps returning, limits your activities or changes significantly, a professional assessment is advisable. If severe symptoms or warning signs appear, consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
How many sessions may be needed?
There is no single number that applies to everyone. It depends on how long the problem has been present, its intensity, the factors involved and the response to treatment.
Can acupuncture be used for lower back pain?
Acupuncture may form part of the approach when the assessment indicates that it may be appropriate. The decision depends on each individual case.
Can it be combined with osteopathy?
Yes, different tools may be combined when the assessment supports it. Additional techniques are not used routinely.
What is the difference between lower back pain and sciatica?
Lower back pain is mainly concentrated in the lower back. With sciatica, symptoms often extend towards the buttock or leg, although each case should be assessed individually.
What happens during the first appointment?
We start by reviewing what is happening, how long it has been present, your background and the movements or situations that change the pain. If appropriate, we begin treatment during that same appointment.
Tell me how your lower back pain started
Tell me how long you have had it, where you feel the pain and which movement or activity is limiting you the most.
